RevDog vs RB2B: Convert Anonymous Visitors or Identify Them?

RevDog and RB2B take almost opposite approaches to anonymous website traffic.

RB2B tries to reveal the person or company so a sales workflow can act. RevDog keeps the visitor anonymous unless they choose to convert and improves the experience while they are still on the page.

RevDog vs RB2B factual matrix

Dimension RevDog RB2B
Intended buyer B2B teams wanting a governed website sales companion, buyer insight, and causal conversion measurement B2B sales and marketing teams wanting visitor identity and outbound-ready signals
Traffic source Any website traffic; page, journey, and conversation context, plus acquisition context when available Broad website traffic; person-level resolution is primarily U.S.-based and company-level identification is global
Interaction model Sitewide conversation that answers, qualifies, captures consented leads, and offers approved conversion actions Passive identification and enrichment delivered to dashboard, Slack, Teams, CRM, webhook, or outbound tools; no buyer conversation required
Grounding Approved product and marketing sources with citations and withholding Not an answer-grounding system; identity is resolved from first/third-party signals and professional data, then validated before delivery
Measurement method Persistent randomized holdout measuring qualified-conversion lift Identification coverage, profiles, behavioral signals, credits and downstream workflow outcomes; not an on-page randomized intervention
Pricing basis Small base plus 20% of proven incremental lift, capped Credit subscription: Free 150 credits; Starter $79/month; Pro from $149; Pro+ from $199, per RB2B's May 2026 plan guide
When RevDog is not right You chiefly need names, company records, email addresses, Slack alerts, CRM enrichment, or outbound activation RB2B turns identified traffic into sales signals

What RB2B does

RB2B identifies a portion of website visitors at the person or company level without requiring a form submission. Returned information can include name, title, LinkedIn profile, business email, employer, firmographics, referring URL, and page-view history, depending on match and plan.

Person-level coverage is primarily U.S.-based; company-level identification is global. RB2B states that tracking is consent-based and that low-confidence matches are discarded. Paid plans can send profiles to CRMs, enrichment and automation tools, Slack, Teams, or webhooks.

The product does not need the visitor to chat. Its primary value appears after the visit, when the revenue team scores, routes, advertises to, or contacts the match.

What RevDog does instead

RevDog turns fixed sales pages into an interface where buyers can ask anything that matters to their decision. Rather than leaving a general-purpose LLM as the only place where buyers ask questions and form an opinion, your own grounded LLM answers from approved product and service knowledge and guides the buyer toward conversion.

RevDog treats the visitor's live question and on-site journey as first-party intent. It uses the page, browsing path, and campaign context when available to start a relevant conversation, answers from approved sources, qualifies the buyer, and guides toward a voluntary approved action.

The team learns what buyers ask even when no identity match is possible. Learnings aggregates objections, topics, comparisons, qualification, actions, and outcomes; Conversations preserves the session-level replay. A randomized control then estimates whether the companion increased qualified conversions.

RevDog does not provide a person's hidden name or email. If the business case depends on direct outreach to otherwise anonymous visitors, it is the wrong product.

Conversion experience versus outbound signal

RB2B is a better choice when a small sales team wants an affordable stream of identifiable visitors, Slack alerts, CRM enrichment, and outbound triggers. It can be valuable even if the website itself does not change.

RevDog is the better choice when the team wants more conversion from existing traffic, needs to understand why buyers leave, and does not want identity resolution to be the prerequisite for answering a buyer's question.

These can be complementary, but teams should avoid double-counting. A person identified by RB2B and assisted by RevDog can create one conversion, not two. Define system-of-record, attribution, consent, and holdout treatment before combining them.

What customers report in practice

Recent G2 reviews show why RB2B is appealing: reviewers value a simple way to turn otherwise anonymous visits into Slack, CRM, and outbound signals. The same reviews repeatedly note practical limits:

  • only a subset of visitors is identified, with browser and privacy constraints affecting coverage;
  • records can be incomplete, stale, outside the ICP, or polluted by invalid profiles, bots, and spam;
  • useful results may require manual filtering and enrichment checks;
  • paid tiers can be difficult to justify for very small teams;
  • nontechnical users may need help with cookie or tracking configuration.

Evaluate match rate and usable-match rate separately. Sample the actual profiles, calculate the labor required to filter them, check geographic coverage, and confirm that the permitted outreach workflow matches your consent and privacy requirements.

RevDog does not yet have RB2B's independent review volume. Buyers should test whether visitors actually use the companion, whether answers remain grounded, whether consent and lead capture behave correctly, and whether the site has enough eligible traffic to measure incremental conversion.

Pricing and privacy questions

RB2B's official plan comparison lists a free tier and monthly credit subscriptions. Features and visible fields change by tier, and credits are consumed by identified visitors. Verify geography, consent configuration, coverage for your traffic mix, match accuracy, overages, and permissible outreach with counsel and the vendor.

RevDog's pricing is tied to experimentally supported lift. It still requires normal consent and data-governance review, but its core experience does not depend on resolving a hidden identity.

Final verdict

The output settles this comparison. RB2B produces identity and activation signals for the revenue team. RevDog produces an on-page conversation, a map of buyer questions, and an estimate of whether the experience changed qualified conversion.
